Out of Shire Rides
"Out of Shire" rides are those rides where MBUG moves further afield away from the immediate surrounds of the Mitchell Shire.
Interesting "Out of Shire" rides include:
- Craigieburn Bypass bike path, loop via Western Ring Path and Broadmeadows Creek Path
- Merri Creek to Melbourne, commencing from various points
- Broadmeadows to Melbourne via Moonee Ponds Creek Path
- The Cheviot Tunnel at Yea
- The Whipstick Forest at Bendigo
Local Rides
MBUG now has regular rides organised from the four major towns in the Mitchell Shire:
- First Sunday: Broadford (leaving from 'The Island' on Sunday Creek)
- Second Sunday: Seymour (leaving from Seymour Post Office)
- Third Sunday: Kilmore (leaving from Hudson's Park)
- Last Sunday: Wallan (leaving from the Free Library/Mechanics Hall)
All rides leave at 9:00am and are planned to take around two hours. All rides are followed by a coffee at a local coffee shop.
Where required, we will offer a shorter ride as well as a longer ride for those wanting to go further.
For those months where there is an extra Sunday, we will try to organise a ride from one of the other towns in the Shire, e.g. Pyalong or Tallarook or an interesting Out of Shire ride.
Family Membership

This plan gives you access to the MBUG website, mailing list and all downloads as well as making you and your family (partner and dependent children) members of MBUG and therefore eligible to attend rides and other member events. All this for just $50.
